About KVK

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), at Venkataramannagudem in West Godavari District, was established on 23.10.2010 with Dr.YSR Horticultural University by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR). The KVK is located at the Dr. YSRHU university campus at Venkataramannagudem which is located in the middle and 10 km away from Tadepalligudem bus station and Nallajerla bus station. The KVK is an institutional project of ICAR to demonstrate the application of science and technology input of agriculture and allied research on farmers' fields and educate in rural areas with the help of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists. The agriculture and allied sciences technology are transferred through imparting vocational training to the farmers, farm women, rural youth, and grass-root level extension workers with the broad-based agriculture and allied production approach. In this direction, the KVK has catered to the needs of the agriculture and allied sector to empower the farmers with the latest agricultural innovations to apply to their day-to-day activities, especially through extension activities. The KVK has conducted a number of vocational and skill training programs to the rural youth, farmers, and farm women for additional income and employment generation.
